What I do and how I do it!
FAQ's
How much do you charge?
The cost would depend firstly on how much photography coverage you would like. For example bridal preparation to first dance, prep to speeches or wedding breakfast. Would you like an album or just the images? Where & when is the wedding? Would you like a 2nd photographer?
As a guide, wedding day photography starts at around £695 for a half day. I also offer a micro package (2/3 hours) for small civil ceremonies. I would need the detail on all of the above to give you an exact quote. I can also offer bespoke packages.
How many images will I receive?
You will receive all images of the day in high resolution on a USB. This could be between 350-600 for a full day. These will be a mixture of colour and B&W images. You can however have all images in both colour & B&W if you require at a small extra cost.
How much is the deposit and when do I need to pay the balance?
A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to secure your booking and reserve your date. At this point a contract will need to be signed and retained by both parties. The balance is payable 28 days prior to your wedding day.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity.
We aren’t really comfortable in front of the camera and don’t like having our photos taken.
This is completely fine, and more common than you might think! How I work is to just be there, to watch and to anticipate those moments that you actually want to see in your photographs. I have learned how to observe people and to capture the reactions that are really going to make you smile when you see the photos after! There will be times when you won’t even notice that I am taking your photo. This is often why engagement shoots are a good idea; it gives you a chance to get used to being in front of the camera. . It is all very relaxed, the aim being for you to react naturally, be comfortable and have fun! After all, it is your wedding day and you want to enjoy your time, not end up feeling stressed about the. photos.
Do you offer engagement or pre-wedding shoots?
Yes, I do. Engagement or pre-wedding shoots are a great way to get used to being in front of the camera if you’re a little camera shy. It’s a chance to get some lovely, relaxed photos of the two of you, and if you have children you can include them and make it a real family experience. There’s no pressure with this shoot, it’s a very relaxed and fun experience.
Do you travel ? Which areas do you cover ?
I am based in Swansea South Wales but I travel all over the U.K. and abroad.
Do you take family photos on the day?
Yes, of course. This is the one time you have all your loved ones together so I understand you might want some family photos. They can easily end up eating up the time, so I aim to keep this part of the day short and informal so you can spend lots of time with your family and friends. I recommend no more than 10 set ups, which will take about 20 minutes.
How late can you stay?
I usually stay for around 45 mins after the first dance as standard to capture your family & friends on the dance floor. I can also stay for fireworks for a small extra charge as this can take place quite late in the summer months.
Do I provide the photographer(s) with a meal?
Yes, a HOT meal must be provided if the photographer(s) stay beyond the wedding breakfast.
How long do I have to wait for my wedding pictures?
Anything from 2 to 8 weeks is the normal turnaround time. Summer weddings tend to take the longest, as this is the busiest time of the year.
Do you supply albums or wedding books?
I can supply albums & wedding books for the bride and groom as well as parent, grandparent & guest books. Family & friends can also purchase individual prints or digital files from the online gallery.
Do you supply an album & image package?
